Find out which of these destination wedding spots is best for you!

Whether you are looking for a paradise island, a snow-covered mountain, an urban jungle or a picturesque village, here are 10 places for an unforgettable destination wedding.

Puerto Rico

Do you prefer beautiful beaches or a cultural landscape? Puerto Rico is the perfect place for those who do not want to compromise! Choose the picturesque village of Esperanza on the island of Vieques or the town of El Convento located in the heart of this Caribbean archipelago. Take advantage of the beautiful cobblestones streets with its colonial touch or an outdoor wedding in a luscious rainforest.

Side note: Like several beautiful places in the Caribbean, avoid the hurricane season (between June and November)!

Beyond its breathtaking beaches and upscale tourist services, one of the main reasons why this Caribbean island is so popular is the predictability of its climate. Located outside the hurricane belt, the sun is always reigning over Aruba.

Side note: Although the temperature is pleasant throughout the year, the months of September and October are the least crowded with tourists.

Jamaica is known to be the queen of all-inclusive. Among the places of predilection on this magnificent island, Negril Beach and the vibrant Montego Bay are a must. You will have no difficulty finding the perfect setting for your dream wedding in Jamaica.

Side note: It is recommended to avoid planning a wedding during the hurricane season (between June and November). During the peak tourist season, the prices of flights and hotels can be greatly increased. It is therefore preferable to choose a date between the end of November and mid-December.

As the postcards suggest, Hawaii is full of dazzling spots. Whether at the top of a volcano or directly on the sand of one of its many coloured beaches, Hawaii does not lack places to celebrate your union. Rich with culture and tradition, take advantage of the various local rituals by incorporating them in your ceremony.

Side note: Due to the great diversity of its ecosystem, Hawaii is composed of different microclimates. It is not unusual to see a torrential rain fall on one side of the island, while the sun is brightly shining on another. However, the north and west of the coast generally have the most favourable weather, while the east is rather rainy and the south very crowded with tourists.

Top 10 Destination Wedding Locations

Las Vegas

While all-inclusive drive-thru chapels, Elvis impersonators and blackjack weddings are all a part of the charm that is Sin City, other more traditional options, such as beautiful ballrooms, terraces and poolsides are also offered. Viva Las Vegas!

Side note: Summer heat can be rather overwhelming. The spring temperature and the coolness of the months of September and October are much more comfortable.

New York

The Big Apple is the ideal place for an urban and unique wedding. The colourful Times Square, bohemian Soho borough and romantic Central Park are just a few of the countless options at your disposal!

Side note: Unlike other destinations, New York is beautiful, no matter the season.

Amalfi Coast (Italy)

The Amalfi Coast is one of the most picturesque regions of the Italian coastline. Its windy roads offer one of the most spectacular views of the sea. The crisp air and freshness of the food will also delight your guests. While in Amalfi, take the time to visit historical sites in Capri and Pompeii.

Side note: The best seasons to visit this Italian paradise are spring (April-June) and autumn (September and October).

Planning a fairy tale wedding? Look no further! Magnificent hills bathed in mist, cliffs with ocean views, castles surrounded by luscious gardens and picturesque villages all await you. Ireland is the ideal place for a romantic wedding.

Side note: It is recommended to book a wedding between May and September. Although the scenery is breathtaking, intermittent showers are to be expected throughout the year. Due to its popularity with tourists, St. Patrick’s week is also better to avoid.

The City of Love continues to live up to its name. Charming and elegant, Paris is still at the top of the list when it comes to destination weddings. While being surrounded by historical landmarks on every street corner (the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe to name a few), Parisian chic can also be found by stepping out of its buzzing centre. Beyond the magnificent cathedrals and whitened monuments, Paris is the ideal places for foodies in search of refined French cuisine and decadent desserts.

Side note: Due to its popularity with tourists, Paris is a busy destination all year long.

If you dream of having a winter wonderland wedding Austria is the place for you. Fall in love with its snow-capped mountains and winding valleys famously portrayed in the movie The Sound of Music. Choose a Viennese castle as a backdrop or a ski chalet if you are a fan of the outdoors. If you choose the holiday season, let yourself be inspired by the Nutcracker ballet and Christmas spirit. Like Canada, Austria has four distinct seasons, all equally magnificent.
